Wessex Archaeology welcomes the opportunity to collaborate in research projects at postgraduate or postdoctoral level. This can vary from supervision and access to collections, to partnership working within the research project team.
We value involvement in projects that enhance our work through innovation, synthesis and dissemination. To discuss potential collaboration and funding, please write to us, including an outline of the proposed research, required level of collaboration and source of funding.
Award-winning projects
We have contributed to the European Bell Beaker aDNA research programme led by Harvard Medical School, and we participated in the award-winning Times of Their Lives project. This was an international research project run jointly by Cardiff University and Historic England, and funded by the European Research Council.
This innovative collaboration used Bayesian Radiocarbon modelling to refine our understanding of European Neolithic chronology and interpretation.
