Expertise

Heritage Consultancy

I Joined Wessex Archaeology’s London and South East team in January 2015 after graduating from a Masters in Archaeology from the University of Kent and transitioned to the Heritage Consultancy department in February 2016.

I am involved in the research and preparation of a variety of reports including environmental impact assessments, desk-based assessments and heritage statements to support planning applications. I have worked on projects ranging from small-scale residential developments to nationally-significant infrastructure projects and linear schemes.

I am also trained as a buildings archaeologist and have assisted other members of the team in carrying out measured and photographic surveys, archival research and the analysis of building fabric. Recent work has seen me involved in projects including a scheduled 19th century fort, inter-war period school buildings and even a mid-20th century petrol station.

I have a particular interest in vernacular houses, specifically those located in southeast England, and I am a member of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.

I am passionate about the conservation and preservation of the historic environment for future generations and outside of work can be found wandering around historic sites or participating in outdoor activities.
